A unique portfolio building and networking event for Online Academy members only.
You'll have the opportunity to practice your skills, get creative, and produce some amazing new content for your portfolio and socials. Kasia and I will also be on hand with some key photography/filming tips.
You'll be working alongside other members and will have the chance to connect and form some new working relationships. Perhaps you’ll find some potential team members, additional stylists or simply someone to pair up with for future portfolio days.
If you are a new MUA/hairstylist and looking for more work, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your styles to more experienced professionals who are looking to build a team or find help for larger weddings.
Please note that we will not be teaching, but will be available to recommend looks to practice, as well as answering your questions.
SCHEDULE:
9:30am: Arrival, coffee and other deliciousness.
10:30am - 2:00pm: Create one makeup look and/or hairstyle on your model - we'll help you capture it on camera.
2:00pm - 3:00pm: Lunch, mingling, checking out each other’s work, and building new connections.
3:00pm – 4:00pm: Q&A. Your business, photography and social media questions answered.
IMPORTANT POINTS...
MODELS: You’ll be in charge of sourcing your own model. You can book a pro or get a friend to model for you. Ensure you get a model with the right natural look and hair length to showcase your work.
WARDROBE: We have a selection of bridal dresses, tops and accessories available for your model to wear.
THERE ARE ONLY 6 PLACES AVAILABLE! This is so that we are able to give you the maximum attention when capturing your work.
When booking, please select if you are doing makeup or hair, or both. You can pair up with a fellow member if you only do makeup or just hair.
